pastor lager hat folgendes event in die welt gesetzt (text stammt von k.taylor) Having been through the various official preparations, the Evangelical Church of Austria will be enriched by another congregation, made up of members of Ghanaian origin, their families, friends and acquaintances. The constituent of this congregation though primarily Ghanaian is however not restricted to only Ghanaians but is open to everybody. As such, anyone interested in joining is cordially welcome without any hindrances.

This has become necessary to serve the growing numbers of the community who desire to worship in the church traditions in which they have grown up. This provides the opportunity to sing hymns and songs, worship, pray and praise, share the word and service of God in a tradition which is familiar and understood by this community.

To facilitate this very important development, a presbytery of six members has been constituted to steer the affairs the congregation. This committee shall assist in the day to day administration of the congregation and provide support to the resident Pastor in the execution of his function, especially in the pastoral duties and rendering support to the entire congregation, assist and counsel members of the congregation in welfare matters.

This group will be introduced to the general membership and the African Communities on the inauguration day which is scheduled for Sunday May 22nd, 2005 at 17:00 hrs. in “Evangelische Pfarrgemeinde" Simmering, Braunhubergasse 20, A – 1110 Wien.
